You also agree to have this currency stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie that is automatically removed when you close your browser). We do this so that the chosen currency remains selected and consistent when browsing our website so that prices can be converted into your (the visitor's) local currency.

Our website uses cookies to provide you with a better user experience. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser. They cannot contain any malicious code.

Hosting provider and server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request

This data cannot be directly assigned to specific people. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete evidence of illegal use. This data and all data on this website are stored by our hosting provider cyon GmbH, Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, Switzerland. You can find the data protection declaration of cyon GmbH here.

SSL encryption
This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the requests you send to us as the website operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Newsletter data
If you would like to receive our newsletter, we need your email address and your consent to receive the newsletter. We use this data exclusively to send the newsletter. You can revoke your consent to store your email address and use it to send the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

Registration for our newsletter is done using a so-called double opt-in process. This means that after registration you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with someone else's email address.

Registrations for the newsletter are logged so that we can prove that the registration process was carried out in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored at Mailchimp are also logged.

The newsletter is sent via Mailchimp, a newsletter distribution platform of the US provider The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. Both the email addresses of our newsletter recipients and their other data described in this notice are stored on Mailchimp's servers in the USA. Mailchimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf.
Furthermore, according to its own information, Mailchimp can use this data to optimize or improve its own services, for example to technically optimize the sending and presentation of newsletters or for commercial purposes in order to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, Mailchimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them directly or to pass it on to third parties. We trust in the reliability and IT and data security of Mailchimp. Mailchimp is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement "Privacy Shield" and is therefore committed to complying with EU data protection regulations.
We have also concluded a "Data Processing Agreement" with Mailchimp. This is a contract in which Mailchimp undertakes to protect our users' data, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its own data protection regulations and, in particular, not to pass it on to third parties. You can view Mailchimp's data protection regulations here .

Statistical surveys and analyses
The newsletters contain a so-called web beacon, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the Mailchimp server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval are collected. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on the retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times.
The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients, but it is neither our aim nor that of Mailchimp to monitor individual users. The evaluations are much more useful for us to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

Termination / Revocation
You can cancel your subscription to our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. This will also revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter via Mailchimp and to the statistical analyses. It is not possible to revoke the sending of the newsletter via Mailchimp and the statistical analyses separately. You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.

Legal basis and data protection regulation
In accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will come into force on May 25, 2018, we inform you that consent to the sending of newsletters is based on Art. 6, Paragraph 1, Letter a and Art. 7 of the GDPR. The use of the shipping service provider Mailchimp, the implementation of statistical surveys and analyses, and the logging of the registration process are based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6, Paragraph 1, Letter f of the GDPR. Our interest is in the use of a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves both our business interests and meets the expectations of users.
