We are committed to sustainability.

Working sustainably means viewing every stage from the idea to the finished product as a whole and giving equal importance to each step. Starting with the close inspection of the source, quality and sustainability of every ingredient to the fair, environmentally friendly processing, all the way to carbon-neutral packaging and distribution.

We are committed to doing everything in our power to generate true, sustainable added value across the entire process. And we do more than just go the extra mile. Achieving sustainability by making compensatory payments to environmental and social projects isn’t our thing.

Our commitment to sustainability

  1. We preserve, conserve and create resources.
  2. We generate added value for environmental and social projects during the production process.
  3. We consistently advocate for animal welfare.
  4. We find new sources of nutrition.
  5. We develop innovative, sustainable packaging.
  6. We blaze new trails in terms of distribution.
  7. We pay fair wages and offer fair prices.

We are committed to sustainability.

People

You are what you eat. What we put in our bodies has a direct impact on our well-being and our quality of life. Eating and drinking is so much more than simply absorbing energy. This idea is what guides us when we create new foods and nutritional supplements. And what’s more: we provide our customers with transparent information about all the ingredients we use, how we process these ingredients, and why we do what we do.

Social commitment

We put humans at the centre of what we do along the entire value chain. Not only our customers, but also everyone else involved who allows us to offer high-quality, sustainable products that benefit humans and the environment. We pay fair wages and ensure that our ingredients are fairly sourced. Where possible, we integrate individuals from the secondary labour market into the process. For example, we work with the workshop of the Stiftung Rüttihubelbad.

Animal welfare

High-quality ingredients can only come from healthy animals that are farmed under the best conditions. We actively advocate for organic farming, which includes allowing animals to graze on healthy meadows and guarantees that they are given natural, species-appropriate feed Full traceability of the ingredients all the way to the source, for example to the farm where they were grown, is a necessity in order to make permanent changes for better animal welfare. For us, this is a matter of course.

Raw materials

Our products are 100% produced in Switzerland. All of our products meet every criteria of the Swissness ordinance of the Swiss Confederation and, in many ways, go above and beyond this standard. We are REALLY Swiss-made. We source our valuable ingredients in Switzerland whenever possible; we only import a few ingredients that are not grown in Switzerland. Cocoa is one of the few exceptions because we love it far too much to leave it out.

But, whenever possible and logical, we find equivalent, local alternatives. And, when we do import something, we make sure that the travel distances are kept as short as possible.

All products that are available in organic quality are purchased in organic quality. If there’s something that we can’t find in organic quality, then we use the best possible quality that we can obtain – or we find a tasty organic ingredient that is just as good. We only put an organic label on products in which every single ingredient is completely, 100% organic. That means that any BE THE CHANGE products that are not labelled as organic are still pretty organic. We always process everything as gently as possible. And with lots of love.

We guarantee:

  • The best ingredients, gently processed
  • The purity of all raw materials, and therefore safety in terms of doping tests
  • Safe, simple traceability of all ingredients
  • Short transport distances and mostly carbon-neutral delivery (e.g. by using empty runs)

Reuse. Recycle. Compost.
